Vintage Brown Silk Chiffon Velvet Beaded Leaf Drop Waist Flapper Dress. Tweet

This vintage Art Deco brown silk chiffon velvet beaded leaf drop waist flapper dress dates from the 1920s. It is made of a chocolate brown color sheer silk chiffon fabric, with a dark brown velvet bottom skirt and cut out leaf applique's with rhinestone beading. This fabulous flapper dress is loose fitting has a drop waist belted sash style, long sheer sleeves, with a large shawl style capelet collar, rounded scoop neckline and a uneven handkerchief hemline skirt. There is a slip lining inside the bodice and side snap closures. The dress measures 44 inches long, with 40 inch hips, a 36 inch waist and 36 inch bust. It is in good wearable condition, but does have a small mended repair on the back shoulder shawl cape, a frayed split under one arm and a few loose frayed velvet leaf applique's (see close-ups). This would be great for design and is a wonderful wearable piece of Art Deco textile art!
