This vintage Chinese dragon embroidered roundel black silk robe coat dates from the 1990s and is a reproduction inspired design from a late 19th century antique robe. It is made of a 100% black silk fabric, with colorful raised padded satin stitch embroidery work. There are embroidered roundel medallions of dragons and waves of water along the bottom hemline and sleeve cuffs. This beautiful robe surcoat is a long floor length, loose fitting, with a mandarin collar, long full sleeves and black silk knotted button toggle closures down the front. It is fully lined in a blue silk fabric, with a "Made in China" tag sewn inside. The robe measures 45 inches long, with 48 inch hips, waist, bust and 21 inch long sleeves. It is in excellent wearable condition. This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable Chinese textile art! $150 |
