This vintage white batiste red & yellow smocking embroidered drop waist peasant dress dates from the 1920s. It is made of a sheer fine white cotton batiste fabric, with contrasting red and yellow cross stitch hand embroidery needle work and decorative stitched smocking. This pretty peasant style bohemian Hungarian Czech folk dress has a loose fitting style drop waist, with a V front neckline tie closure, shoulder sleeve smocking, long full sleeves, smocking at the hips and a short skirt. The dress measures 36 inches long, with a 30 inch waist and 38 inch bust. It is in good wearable condition. This is a wonderful piece of wearable bohemian peasant textile folk art! $250 |
