Vintage B Altman Nat-Raj Nataraja India Orange Embroidered Long Kaftan Robe Coat
This vintage B. Altman Nat-Raj Nataraja India orange embroidered long kaftan robe coat dates from the 1970s. It is completely embroidered in a bright orange and colorful silk raised padded satin stitch embroidery work ethnic geometric zigzagging shaped designs. This exquisite ethnic embroidered kaftan robe coat is a loose fitting, a long full floor length, with a mandarin collar, long full sleeves and snap closures down the front. It is fully lined in a red linen fabric, with a "Made in India For B. Altman & Co. By Nat-Raj" Nataraja Dancing Shiva label sewn inside. This beautiful hand crafted coat has an ethnic Indian inspired ornate style. The coat measures 53 inches long, with 40 inch hips, a 38 inch waist, 36 inch bust, 15 inch back and 23 inch long sleeves. It is in good wearable condition. This is truly an amazing quality made coat and wonderful piece of wearable art!
