This Edwardian era vintage cream battenburg tape lace polka dot wedding bodice blouse dates from 1910. It is made of an off white cream color sheer net fabric, with polka dots and filmy linen stitch, tape lace, with button hole stitching, connecting brides and bars done in a scrolling, spiral floral pattern design. This beautiful bridal bodice blouse top, has a puffed pouter pigeon front, long full sleeves, a fitted waistband and hook & eye closures down the front. It is fully lined in a sheer net fabric and expertly made with wonderful workmanship and details. The blouse measures 20 inches long, with a 22 inch waist, 36 inch bust, 13 inch back and 24 inch long sleeves. It is in good wearable condition, but has not been cleaned, with only a few tiny pin holes and faint age spot stains. This is truly an extraordinary piece of wearable wedding bridal antique lace art! |
