This vintage Maui Sportswear Hawaii Japanese crane gold silk lamé obi jacket dates from the 1940s. It is made of a colorful silk gold lamé brocade fabric, with a floral, fan, leaf, crane bird damask design pattern and is created from Japanese obi fabric. This quality made jacket has a loose fitting boxy swing style, with broad shoulder padding, long full sleeves, a mandarin collar, gold metallic button toggle closures and is fully lined, with a "Maui Sportswear Wailuku, Maui, Hawaii" label sewn inside. The coat measures 28 inches long, with a 50 inch waist, 42 inch bust and 15 inch back. It is in good condition. This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable Japanese Hawaiiana textile art! $150 |
