This antique Chinese lilac silk damask brocade floral applique robe coat dates from the 1920s. It is made of a light pinkish purple lilac color floral pattern damask brocade silk fabric, with a black silk satin fabric yoke top and sleeve cuffs. There is a pastel silk cut work applique trim of a cherry blossom flower branch on the front top and color silk weave ribbon trim edging. This women's pink and blue silk loop toggle closures. It is fully lined in a blue cotton fabric, with a hidden pocket inside the front flap (see close-up). The robe measures 34 inches long, with 54 inch hips, waist, bust and 28 inch long sleeves. It is in good condition, but has not been cleaned and has several small faint stains. This is truly a wonderful piece of antique Chinese textile art!
