This antique Victorian era sheer black net beaded fringe short cloak cape capelet dates from 1890. It is made of a sheer black net fabric covered with black beadwork done in a floral leaf pattern design and beaded branch fringe along the bottom. This stunning short cropped cloak cape capelet has a black lace standup collar, beaded trim edging and an open front with no closure. It is sheer and unlined. The cape measures 13 inches long, with a 55 inch bottom circumference, 20 inch shoulders and 16 inch neck. It is in good condition, with only a few missing, loose beads and a small hole in the net shoulder (see close-up). This is a wonderful piece of Victoriana wearable beaded art! $100 |
