This antique Victorian era black net lace silk neck ruffle mourning cloak cape capelet dates from 1880. It is made of a sheer black net lace scalloped pattern fabric, with a black silk lining inside. There is a black silk chiffon pleated ruffle trim neck collar, with black buckle and ribbon trim front. This stunning short cloak cape capelet has a layered tiered style, with a hook closure at the neck and high neck collar. The cape measures 17 inches long, with a 63 inch bottom circumference and 15 inch neck. It is in good condition. This is a wonderful piece of Victoriana mourning wearable art!
