Vintage 1940s Black Silk Crepe Silver Steel Cut Beaded Belted Peplum Dress
This amazing vintage black silk crepe steel cut beaded belted peplum dress dates from the 1940s. It is made of a black silk crepe fabric covered with silver steel cut beading done in a swirling scrolling floral pattern design. This beautiful beaded dress has an open front neckline with a cut away V strap design, short split slit sleeves, a peplum skirted drape front hip area, matching beaded belt with buckle closure and side zipper. It was custom made with wonderful quality, construction and has a unique style which would be great for design. The dress measures 46 inches long, with 40 inch hips, a 30 inch waist and 40 inch bust. It is in good wearable condition, with a tiny hole on the skirt and only a small amount of rust discoloration on the beads under one arm (see close-up). This is truly a rare exceptional piece of wearable beaded art!
