This antique Edwardian Titanic era black voided velvet winter coat evening jacket dates from 1912. It is made of a black silk velvet fabric, with voided cut out circular spiral pattern design. This wonderful warm winter evening coat has a belted waist with black ball tassels hanging down the back, long full sleeves with wide rolled cuffs, a large black silk covered button down the front waist for closure and toggle rope loop at neck. It is fully lined in a black cotton fabric. The coat measures 46 inches long, with 40 inch hips a 38 inch waist, 40 bust, 15 inch back and 24 inch long sleeves. It is in good condition, with only the arm hole seams having been resewn and is missing the top button closure at the neck. This is a wonderful piece of gothic revival wearable art!
