This exquisite vintage silk rosette white embroidered net filet lace drop waist chemise dress dates from the 1920s. It is made of an off white sheer net fabric, with raised padded satin stitch embroidery work, filet lace inserts done in a decorative floral vine leaf pattern design and drawn cut work. There are three pretty pastel silk rosette ribbon work applique trim sewn onto the front neckline. This lovely lace drop waist dress is loose fitting, with a chemise straight shift style, sleeveless, with a rounded neckline and is sheer, unlined. The dress measures 46 inches long, with 42 inch hips, a 42 inch waist and 40 inch bust. It is in good condition, with only two tiny holes on the front net and a small faint stain on the back filet lace center panel insert (see close-ups). This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable lace art!
