This antique Victorian era blonde chantilly bobbin lace mantilla Spanish shawl veil dates from the 19th century. It is made of a sheer fine off white cream color blonde net French chantilly lace, with a floral foliage pattern outlined in raised cordonnet threads with detailed shading effects and a beautiful decorative scalloped border edging. This lovely lace has a intricately done lush floral design throughout. It has been created into a long rectangle shape shawl style scarf wrap veil Spanish mantilla, which the blonde color would have been appropriate for a church wedding or other ceremonial occasions. The shawl measures 103 inches long and 19 inches wide. It is in good condition, but has not been cleaned and has a few faint age spot stains. This is a rare and exquisite piece of wearable antique lace art!
