This vintage Art Deco ecru silk French knot embroidered drawn work robe coat dates from the 1920s. It is made of a ecru beige color silk crepe fabric, with ecru raised padded satin stitch hand embroidery work, French knots and drawn cut work done in a floral vine leaf design throughout. This fabulous flapper robe coat jacket has a loose fitting style, with an open front and no closure, is a long mid length, with long sleeves, floral bronze buttons on the cuffs, pleating details on the back neck and is unlined. The coat measures 36 inches long, with 46 inch hips, a 44 inch waist, 40 inch bust, 17 inch back and 21 inch long sleeves. It is in good condition, with missing buttons from one sleeve cuff and fraying inside the silk trim lining the cuff. There is a faint age spot stain on the front lapel. This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable Art Deco textile art!
