It is made of a cornflower blue color silk satin fabric, with decorative white stitching embroidery work done in a floral vine leaf design. This beautiful robe gown is loose fitting, a long floor length, with a high collar neckline, gathered shoulders, long full wide bell shape kimono style sleeves, a pleated back drape, fully lined and hook closures on the front. There is a "Henderson Ames Co. Kalamazoo, Michigan Military And Society Goods" label sewn inside. The Henderson Ames Company manufactured uniforms, regalia, ceremonial garments for fraternal organizations, secret societies and bands. This resembles a graduation gown or choir robe. The gown measures 54 inches long, with a 50 inch hips, waist, chest and 32 inch long sleeves. It is in good condition, with only some minor wear, slight underarm discoloration and faint stains. This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable art!
