Vintage Oscar de la Renta Painted Voided Velvet Chinese Cheongsam Dress & Pants
This vintage Oscar de la Renta painted voided velvet Chinese cheongsam dress and pants dates from the 1980s. It is made of a dark sapphire blue color silk voided velvet fabric with an abstract swirling burnout pattern design. There is gold hand painted detailing along the neckline cuffs and bottom skirt which resemble Italian Venetian Fortuny style painted textile designs. This beautiful boho maxi dress is a long floor length, with a Chinese cheongsam style, gold knotted button closures along the side neckline going all the way down the side skirt slits, long sleeves and back zipper closure. It is fully lined, with an "Oscar de la Renta" designer label and size 6 tag sewn inside. The dress measures 53 inches long, with 38 inch hips, a 30 inch waist, 38 inch bust, 16 inch back and 24 inch long sleeves. There are matching fabric fitted pants, fully lined, with back zipper closure. The pants measure 42 inches long, with a 30 inch inseam, 38 inch hips and 24 inch waist. It is in good condition. This is truly an exceptional quality made piece of wearable art!
