This amazing vintage Mr. John I. Magnin & Co. silk stripe dress and beaded kimono jacket dates from the 1970s. It is made of a muted gray blue and yellow silk striped fabric. This beautiful boho designer ensemble includes a top, skirt, belt and jacket. There is a long sleeveless shell top blouse, with long floor length maxi skirt, both with zipper closures, a gold rope tie belt with red tassel ends and a loose fitting kimono style jacket completely covered with silver, gold, rhinestone studded beads, red silk, gold metallic lamé trim edging and has an open front with no closure. There is a "Mr. John" designer label and "I. Magnin & Co." department store label sewn inside both the jacket and skirt. The top measures 25 inches long, with a 40 inch waist and 36 inch bust. The skirt measures 40 inches long, with 42 inch hips and a 32 inch waist. The jacket measures 26 inches long, with a 44 inch bust and 20 inch back. It is in excellent condition. This is truly a rare and exceptional quality made piece of wearable art!
