This exquisite Edwardian era antique battenburg crochet tape lace wedding gown dress dates from 1905. It is hand made of an off white cream color sheer battenburg crochet tape lace with raised dimensional flower leaf, spiral scroll work designs, connecting thread picot ornamented bars and open cut work. This beautiful bridal wedding gown two piece dress has a bodice blouse top with a pouter pigeon front style, squared front neckline, with silk chiffon front panel hook closures, 3/4 length full sleeves with silk ribbon bow trim cuffs, side neck and bottom back. It is fully lined in silk. The top measures 19 inches long, with a 30 inch waist, 36 inch bust, 14 inch back and 18 inch long sleeves. There is a matching lace long floor length full skirt with slight train back, sheer silk chiffon pleated back panel insert, fully lined in silk with petticoat skirt underneath and hook closures on the back. The skirt measures 40 inches long in the front, 45 inches long in the back, with a 34 inch waist. It is in good condition, but has not been cleaned, with a few faint small age spot stains. This is truly an extraordinary piece of wearable wedding bridal antique lace art!
