This vintage burgundy striped knit sweater skirt set outfit dress dates from the 1950s. It is made of a dark red burgundy wine color wool knit fabric, with an off white woven striped dash design diagonal on the skirt and horizontal on the sweater. This wonderful winter knit two piece ensemble has a cardigan sweater top with decorative button closure front, eyelet crochet knit trim edging, long sleeves and is unlined. The sweater measures 26 inches long, with a 32 inch waist, 34 inch bust, 14 inch back and 24 inch long sleeves. There is a matching knit full skirt with hook waistband, zipper closure and is unlined. The skirt measures 28 inches long, with 30 inch hips and a 26 inch waist. It is in condition. This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable art!
