This vintage Charles Christie & Co. theatrical costume show girl Carmen Miranda style dress dates from the late 1930s. It is made of a red rayon fabric, with a vibrant colorful tropical floral print design. This Brazilian bombshell Carmen Miranda inspired sexy 3 piece show girl costume includes a short crop top midriff blouse, with an off the shoulder ruffle collar, short puffy sleeves, a drawstring neckline, hook closures on the front and is fully lined. The top measures 13 inches long, with a 40 inch bust. There is a matching fabric long floor length skirt with split open front, fitted waist, hips, back hook closures and is lined on the top. The skirt measures 42 inches long, with 42 inch hips and a 28 inch waist. Both piece have a "Charles Christie & Co. Theatrical Costumers 41 West 47th St. New York" label sewn inside them. There is also a matching fabric turban style head scarf hat with feather trim and net lined. The hat measures 14 inches long and is 10 inches wide. It is in good condition. This is truly a unique and rare piece of theater show girl wearable art!
