It is made of a black silk crepe fabric, with a golden ecru color raised padded satin stitch silk embroidery work done in a Chinese inspired floral peony, pheasant bird design throughout.

This vintage Art Deco black silk ecru embroidered floral bird flapper coat dates from the 1920s. It is made of a black silk crepe fabric, with a golden ecru color raised padded satin stitch silk embroidery work done in a Chinese inspired floral peony, pheasant bird design throughout. This fabulous flapper coat is loose fitting, a long mid length, with wrap front snap closure at the waist, a fold over lapel collar, long full sleeves with striped embroidered trim on the cuffs, bottom skirt hem and is unlined. The coat measures 44 inches long, with 48 inch hips, a 44 inch waist, 44 inch bust, 15 inch back and 22 inch long sleeves. It is in good condition, with only some slight fade along the black silk collar neckline. This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable Art Deco embroidered textile art!
