This Edwardian era antique white Irish crochet tape lace bodice blouse dates from 1910. It is made of a white sheer Irish crochet tape lace with connecting thread picot ornamented bars, crochet ball fringe trim, filet lace and embroidered net inserts. There is a patchwork of various styles of handmade laces and techniques. This lovely lace beautiful bodice blouse top has a three dimensional flower neckline, 3/4 length sleeves with crochet ball fringe trim cuffs, a linen waistband and open back with no closure. It is sheer and unlined. The blouse measures 15 inches long, with a 24 inch waist, 34 inch bust, 14 inch back and 15 inch long sleeves. It is in good condition, with only the back closures missing, but could be worn with the open front as a jacket. This is truly a extraordinary piece of wearable antique lace art!
