This Victorian era amazing antique Kashmir hand embroidered woven wool pieced paisley long duster coat dates from 1900. It is made of colorful soft Kashmir wool hand embroidered and pieced together in a paisley pine cone shaped tear drop motif boteh and decorative floral leaf designs. The coat was custom made and created from an early 19th century Kashmir paisley shawl, with wonderful workmanship and design. This fabulous floor length long duster style travel coat is loose fitting, has a wide lapel shawl collar, fringed embroidered border trim edging, with black wool front and back panels, long full mutton style sleeves with fitted button strap cuffs, black silk fringe trim bottom hem sides, is fully lined in a blue silk fabric with inside pocket and has decorative button trim with hook closures front. The coat measures 49 inches long, with 52 inch hips, a 52 inch waist, 52 inch bust, a 18 inch back and 26 inch long sleeves. It is in excellent condition. This is truly a rare and exceptional unique one of a kind piece of wearable textile art!
