This vintage Christian Dior Boutique brown and white brocade suit jacket and skirt dates from the 1980s. It is made of a brown and white cotton sheen brocade weave fabric with a woven wicker cane pattern and scroll work design. This beautiful designer two piece suit has a long loose fitting boxy suit jacket, with a scalloped wide lapel collar, shoulder padding, long full sleeves, white woven silk covered buttons for closure down the front and is fully lined in a brown silk fabric. There is a "Christian Dior Boutique Paris Made in France" identification numbered designer label European size 44, US size 12 tag sewn inside. The jacket measures 31 1/2 inches long, with 40 inch hips, a 34 inch waist, 40 inch bust and 25 inch long sleeves. There is a matching fabric skirt, with back zipper button closure and is fully lined with same designer label sewn inside. The skirt measures 23 inches long, with 38 inch hips and a 28 inch waist. It is in excellent unworn condition and still has the original Neiman Marcus department store price tag of $1,430.00 attached along with a fabric swatch and extra button. This is truly a wonderful piece of quality made designer wearable art!
