This exquisite antique Edwardian era white cotton pique eyelet embroidered lace childs dress and dickey collar dates from 1910. It is made of a white cotton pique ribbed textured fabric, with raised padded satin stitch embroidery work, eyelet cut work and a Point de Venise lace trim front panel insert all done in a floral leaf design pattern. This stylish summer two piece childrens little girls party dress includes a loose fitting drop waist, with blue silk ribbon woven around the waist and bow trim back, long full sleeves, a box pleat short skirt and button back closures. The dress measures 32 inches long, with a 32 inch waist and 32 inch bust. There is a matching embroidered eyelet lace trim fabric long panel bib style dickey collar which drapes over the head on both the front and back, with button loop closures to attach to the dress underneath. It is in good condition, but has not been cleaned with only a few faint small age spot stains. This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable antique lace textile art! $150 |
