This vintage Edwardian era white net tambour embroidery lace silver rosette belted dress dates from 1910. It is made of a sheer fine white net, with tambour chain stitch embroidery work lace done in a floral leaf scroll work pattern design. There is a silver metallic lace, silk pastel ribbon rosette trim sash belt. This lovely lace long floor length dress has a layered flounce ruffle hemline, 3/4 length sleeves with lace ruffle trim cuffs, a belted sash waistband and hook closures down the back. It is sheer and unlined. The dress measures 60 inches long, with 34 inch hips, a 24 inch waist and 34 inch bust. It is in good condition, with several tiny holes in the net fabric top and some missing hook closures on the back. This is truly an exceptional piece of antique lace textile art which could be worn as a wedding gown or graduation dress! |
