It is made of an off white cream color cotton fabric, stuffed with 2 wire spring coils sewn inside creating a long double side by side bustle pad extender. There is a linen cloth strap waistband belt with adjustable buckle closure and is stamped with "The Novelty" inked label. This unique undergarment would have been worn under a bustle skirt dress to expand the fullness or support the back drape of the fanned train skirt. The bustle pad measures 13 inches long, with a 31 inch waist. It is in as-is fair condition, with some age spot stains, frayed holes and a frayed open side seam.
