This vintage black silk chiffon gold lamé soutache belted evening gown dress and slip dates from the 1940s. It is made of a black sheer silk chiffon fabric, with an attached gold metallic lamé raised soutache embroidered belt with a floral spiral scroll work design. This gorgeous gown has a long floor length skirt, is sheer, unlined, with short puffy sleeves, smocking along the shoulders, a V front neckline, an attached cummerbund sash belt with button back and side zipper closure. The dress measures 59 inches long, with 40 inch hips, a 28 inch waist and 38 inch bust. Included is a black silk crepe slip dress, which has an open side seam in need of repair. The slip measures 60 inches long, with 42 inch hips, a 40 inch waist and 38 inch waist. The dress is in good condition. This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable textile art!
