This exquisite Victorian era antique white Irish crochet tape lace wedding gown bridal dress dates from 1900. It is hand stitched, made of a white sheer Irish crochet tape lace with detailed meshwork, raised floral leaf designs and connecting thread picot ornamented bars. This beautiful bridal wedding gown dress is a long floor length, with a slight back train skirt, a pouter pigeon top, high collar neckline, 3/4 length puffy sleeves, a fitted waist, is sheer, unlined and has hook closures down the back. The dress measures 52 inches long in the front, 60 inches long in the back, with 40 inch hips, a 24 inch waist, 34 inch bust and 14 inch back. It is in good condition, with only a few missing hook closures on back, some small breaks in the connecting bride bars and a frayed hole on the side waist (see close-up). This is truly an extraordinary rare piece of wearable antique lace art! |
