This antique Edwardian era white linen Irish crochet lace soutache French knot button dress dates from 1905. It is made of a heavy fine quality off white linen fabric, with white raised soutache work, French knots, covered button trim and a Irish crochet lace yoke collar insert. This lovely lace long floor length dress has pleating along the shoulders, a pouter pigeon front top, lace yoke high collar neckline, long sleeves, decorative fabric covered button trim down the back and hook closures on the back. The dress measures 54 inches long, with 42 inch hips, a 30 inch waist, 38 inch bust, 15 inch back and 23 inch long sleeves. It is in good condition, but has not been cleaned, with a few faint age spot stains, some breaks on the lace back collar and a small fray on the back shoulder (see close-up). This is a wonderful piece of wearable antique textile lace art which could be worn as a wedding gown or graduation dress!
