It is made of a white heavy ribbed textured silk fabric, with gold metallic thread raised padded satin stitch embroidered Japanese crane birds.

This vintage Profils Japanese uchikake wedding kimono gold crane  embroidered  coat dates from the 1960s. It is made of a white heavy ribbed textured silk fabric, with  gold  metallic thread raised padded satin stitch embroidered Japanese  crane birds. The crane is a symbol of luck, longevity and fidelity. This magnificent unique uchikake wedding kimono fabric has been recreated into a long floor length evening coat, with a fold over collar, long full sleeves, open front with no closure and  is fully lined. There is a "Profils Du Monde Beverly Hills, California" designer label sewn inside. The coat measures 52 inches long, with 46 inch hips, a 44 inch waist, 44 inch bust, 16 inch back and 21 inch long sleeves. It is quite heavy weighing over 4 pounds and is in good condition, with only some faint stains on one sleeve (see close-up). This is a truly a wonderful piece of wearable Japanese textile art!
