Vintage Spanish Matador Bullfighter Bolero Jacket Knickers Waist Cincher Costume
This antique Spanish matador bullfighter bolero jacket, knickers, waist cincher three piece costume dates from 1900. It is made of a black velvet fabric, with gold metallic lace sequin trim and black lace applique, silk ball fringe trim on the pants. This magnificent matador Spanish toreadors bullfighters costume includes a bolero short cropped ceremonial jacket, with epaulette ornamental shoulder piece decorations, long fitted sleeves and an open front with no closure. The jacket measures 10 inches long, with a 36 inch chest, 12 inch back and 24 inch long sleeves. Included is a matching embellished waist cincher waspie, short corset style belt with stays boning inside lining and hook closures. The waist cincher belt measures 10 inches long in the front, 7 inches along the sides and has a 29 inch waist. Included is also a pair of knee length knickers pants, with black side trim accents, inside front pocket, an adjustable buckle strap back waist, pant cuffs and a sailor pant style button front closure. The pants measure 28 inches long, with a 17 inch inseam, 36 inch hips and a 30 inch waist. It is in good condition, with only a small frayed rip on the front jacket. This is truly a rare and opulent piece of wearable Spanish inspired textile art!
