This exquisite Edwardian era antique turquoise blue and black silk Battenburg tape lace coat jacket dates from 1910. It is made of a turquoise blue raw silk fabric lining, with a black silk Battenburg tape lace overlay. This lovely lace loose fitting coat jacket has a long mid length swing style, with an open front, no closure, a wide shawl style sailor collar with black silk soutache embroidery work trim, long full sleeves with rolled cuffs and is fully lined, with a "Schubach Seattle" label sewn inside. The coat measures 35 inches long, with 42 inch hips, a 38 inch waist, 40 inch bust, 14 inch back and 20 inch long sleeves. It is in excellent condition. This is an exceptional beautifully hand made unique one of a kind coat, and a rare find of wearable antique textile lace art! |
