This antique Edwardian era brown and white cream silk striped chevron high collar dress gown dates from 1910. It is made of a brown and off white cream color raw silk striped chevron print fabric, with an off white cream color filet lace yoke high neck collar insert. This stunning striped dress has a high collar, 3/4 length sleeves with pleated white cuffs, a fitted waist, silk covered button trim accents and hook closures on the back. It is lined in the bodice with silk and stays boning sewn inside. The dress measures 60 inches long, with 40 inch hips, a 28 inch waist, 36 inch bust and 13 inch back. It is in good condition, but has not been cleaned, with a few faint small age spots stains, slight underarm discoloration, a few tiny frays on one sleeve and the inside silk lining is shattered & frayed (see close-up). This is truly an exceptional quality custom made piece of wearable art!
