This vintage black wool gabardine ribbon trim sash suit jacket and skirt dates from 1938. It is made of a black wool gabardine fabric, with a heavy black silk grosgrain ribbon trim sash woven around the waist. This classy beautiful black two piece suit has a tailored jacket, with wide lapel collar, long sleeves, fabric covered button front closure, silk ribbon cummerbund sash trim woven around the hips & tied on the side in a bow, fully lined, with a "RCA Manufactured Fair Labor Standard" tag sewn inside. The jacket measures 24 inches long, with a 40 inch waist, 42 inch bust and 15 inch back. There is a matching fabric long skirt, with side zipper closure and is unlined. The skirt measures 33 inches long, with 42 inch hips and a 32 inch waist. The outfit is in good condition, but has not been cleaned and has two tiny pin holes on the back of the jacket and is missing the top button. This is truly a wonderful piece of quality made wearable art!
