1950s Vintage Ceil Chapman Couture Yellow Silk Pleated Cocktail Sheath Dress
This vintage Ceil Chapman couture yellow silk pleated cocktail sheath dress dates from the 1950s. It is made of a golden yellow silk crepe fabric, with unique origami pleating layered weave details on the bodice top. This sexy wiggle cocktail party dress has a form fitting sheath style, with a pleated shelf bust top, squared front neckline, plunging V back, short cap sleeves, hip pocket detail, mid length pencil skirt, fully lined with stays boning sewn inside and back zipper closure. There is a "Ceil Chapman" designer label sewn inside. The dress measures 45 inches long, with 38 inch hips, a 30 inch waist and 36 inch bust. It is in good condition, with only some slight fraying around one sleeve cuff (see close-up). This is truly a rare and wonderful piece of wearable couture designer art!
