This antique Victorian era gentlemen's white silk damask floral brocade wedding waistcoat vest dates from the 1850s. It is hand stitched and made of an off white ivory color silk damask botanical floral embossed brocade fabric. There is a linen fabric backing, with an adjustable metal buckle, strap on the lower back. It is lined in linen. This dapper gentlemen's wedding waistcoat vest has a V front opening, with a high band back collar, three front pockets and three fabric covered buttons for closure on the front. The vest measures 19 inches long, with a 34 inch waist and 38 inch chest. It is in good condition, with only slight underarm discoloration, a small repair on the lower back and some faint age spotting on the back fabric (see close-up). This is truly a quality made men's early Victorian vest!
