This vintage Teresa Original Taxco Mexican figural animals hand painted sequin jacket dates from the 1950s. It is made of a white cotton fabric, with black outlined figures, animals, plants and colorful hand painted air brushed silk screen designs. There are a variety of animals, lions, bulls, deer, rabbits, dogs, goats, birds, donkey, insects, people and plants. There are hand sewn silver sequins trimming and covering the jacket. This magnificent Mexican jacket has a mandarin collar, knotted button toggle closures down the front, bottom slit pockets. long sleeves and is fully lined, with a "Teresa Original Bernal 1 Taxco Gro." label sewn inside. The jacket measures 27 inches long, with a 44 inch waist, 44 inch bust, 19 inch back and 21 inch long sleeves. It is in good condition, missing only one toggle closure at the bottom. This is truly a wonderful wearable piece of Mexican textile folk art!
