This vintage Edwardian Titanic era pink silk smocking white lace peignoir negligee nightgown robe dates from 1912. It is made of a pale pastel pink fine silk fabric, with smocking detail on the back, daisy flower embroidered silk straps and a white lace overlay top. This beautiful boudoir peignoir negligee nightgown style robe dressing gown is loose fitting, a long floor length with a scalloped hemline, crisscrossing silk straps on the top, a belted sash back, snap closures on the front, open bottom skirt and an attached sheer lace bed jacket blouse top with wide flared full sleeves, a longer back with scalloped bottom. The gown measures 56 inches long, with 44 inch hips, a 36 inch waist and 36 inch bust. It is in good condition, with only a few tiny pin holes and some faint discoloration staining on the silk ribbon trim straps (see close-up). This is truly a wonderful piece of fine quality romantic wearable lingerie art!
