This antique Edwardian era white Point de Venise needle lace applique blouse shirt top dates from 1905. It is made of a white Point de Venise needle lace with scrolling flowers, leaves, buttonholed brides and floral lace appliques on the front. This beautiful blouse has a high neck lace collar, silk lined with a skirted waist back, long sleeves, hook closures down the back and is sheer. The top measures 21 inches long, with a 24 inch waist, 34 inch bust and 14 inch back. It is in good condition, but the inside silk lining has several frays, needs replacing and the lace collar has some breaks & holes (see close-up). This is truly a wonderful piece of antique textile lace wearable art!
