|
This vintage Edwardian era Art Nouveau Japanese floral fan print dressing gown robe and bed cap bonnet dates from 1910. It is made of a pinkish beige blush color cotton muslin fabric, with a colorful Asian inspired Orientalism print pattern of Japanese hand screen fans with the rising sun and chrysanthemum flowers. There is green silk ribbon and white lace trim edging. This magnificent morning robe wrapper dressing gown is a long floor length, with long full sleeves, pleated details on the top, with a back drape skirt and snap closures down the front. The robe measures 53 inches long, with 46 inch hips, a 30 inch waist, 38 inch bust, 16 inch back and 18 inch long sleeves. Included is a matching fabric bed bonnet cap, with lace trim along the bottom and a green ribbon bow on the front. The bonnet measures 30 inches in circumference, with loose elastic gathering around the bottom. They are both in good condition. This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable textile art! |
