It is made of a brown silk crepe de chine fabric, with varying shades of brown & taupe silk stitching embroidery work done in Art Deco abstract geometric ethnic designs.

This vintage Art Deco brown silk crepe embroidered flapper blouse coat jacket dates from the 1920s. It is made of a brown silk crepe de chine fabric, with varying shades of brown & taupe silk stitching embroidery work done in Art Deco abstract geometric ethnic designs. This fabulous flapper blouse style coat jacket is long, loose fitting, with a fold over collar, beige silk trim edging, pocket, hidden snaps and bottom button closures on the front, long full sleeves and is unlined. The top measures 23 inches long, with a 42 inch waist, 42 inch bust, 14 inch back and 20 inch long sleeves. It is in good condition, but has not been cleaned and has a couple of small age spot stains (see close-up). This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable Art Deco textile art!
