This exquisite vintage Edwardian era antique white Irish crochet tape lace embroidered long coat jacket dates from 1910. It is made of an off white ivory cream color Irish crochet lace with raised three dimensional flower, leaf designs, connecting thread picot ornamented bars, detailed meshwork and large raised padded satin stitch, French knot embroidery work flowers. This lovely lace coat jacket is a long length, loose fitting with fold over flap front crochet button braided rope toggle closure, long full sleeves, a cutaway bottom front, high low skirted train back and is sheer, completely unlined. The coat measures 39 inches long in the front, 53 inches long in the back, with 40 inch hips, a 34 inch waist, 40 inch bust, 15 inch back and 20 inch long sleeves. It is in excellent condition, with only a tiny faint age spot stain on the front toggle closure and bottom skirt hem corner front opening (see close-up). This is truly an amazing, exceptional, quality made, rare piece of wearable antique lace art!
