It is made of a sheer fine white net, with raised padded satin stitch embroidery work done in a floral daisy vine leaf pattern design and scalloped ace trim edging.

This vintage Edwardian era sheer white net floral embroidered lace middy dress dates from 1915. It is made of a sheer fine white net, with raised padded satin stitch embroidery work done in a floral daisy vine leaf pattern design and scalloped ace trim edging. This lovely lace middy dress is a long mid length with an uneven high low skirt longer in the back, has a middy style sailor collar top, with 3/4 length sleeves, wide flared bell shape cuffs, a fitted waistband, hook closures down the front side and is sheer, completely unlined. The dress measures 48 inches long, with 34 inch hips, a 24 inch waist, 34 inch bust and 13 inch back. It is in good condition, with only a tiny pin hole on the front top shoulder area (see close-up). This is a wonderful piece of antique textile art which could be worn as a wedding gown, graduation dress or for a garden party tea!
