This antique Edwardian era white wool silk soutache appliques ruffle trim winter coat dates from 1905. It is made of an off white ivory color fine soft wool fabric, with white soutache work silk appliqué flowers and cream silk chiffon finely pleated ruffle trim edging. This wonderful winter traveling coat has a loose fitting, long full style, with a large shawl collar, long full pagoda bell shape flared sleeves, an open front with no closure and is fully lined inside. The coat measures 44 inches long, with 56 inch hips, a 52 inch waist, 46 inch bust and 25 inch long sleeves with 22 inch circumference sleeve cuffs. It is in good condition, with only some slight fraying along the silk chiffon sleeve cuff trim. This is truly an exceptional piece of wearable antique textile art!
