This vintage mariachi charro costume suit soutache black and white wool jacket and pants date from the 1930s. It is made of a black wool fabric, with white soutache embroidery work trim creating decorative spiral scrolling interlocking designs. This magnificent Mexican mariachi charro costume includes a bolero cropped jacket, with a rounded fold over collar, long full sleeves, four front pockets, white button toggle loop closures and is fully lined with cotton striped ticking inside the sleeves. The jacket measures 19 inches long, with a 36 inch waist, 38 inch chest, 17 inch back shoulder and 24 inch long sleeves. Included is a pair of matching fabric trouser pants, with flared leg cuffs, an adjustable buckle strap back waist and button fly front closure. The pants measure 43 inches long, with a 31 inch inseam, 36 inch hips and a 34 inch waist. There is a "Garcia Le Al Hnos Curiosidad es Mexicanas Made in Mexico Monterrey" label size 38 tag sewn inside the jacket. It is in excellent condition. This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable Mexicana textile art!
