This vintage navy blue yellow sunflower novelty print silk sun dress and jacket dates from the 1940s. It is made of a navy blue and yellow sunflower print silk fabric, with a large yellow sunflower appliqué pinned onto the back jacket. This sensational summer sun dress has a halter top style with shoulder straps, a short mid length full skirt and side hook closures. The dress measures 48 inches long, with a 26 inch waist and 32 inch bust. There is a matching fabric short cropped bolero style jacket, with gathered shoulders, short sleeves, sunflower appliqué trim back and snap closure at the waist. The jacket measures 15 inches long, with a 24 inch waist and 32 inch bust. It is in good condition, but does have some wear to the fabric on the front waist where the yellow floral pattern print has faded, rubbed off (see close-up). This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable art! |
