This antique Victorian era lace embroidered white cotton batiste wedding dress polonaise overdress, skirt date from the 1870s. It is made of a white sheer fine thin cotton batiste fabric with embroidered eyelet drawn cut work floral leaf designs and white lace trim inserts. This beautiful bridal wedding gown has a polonaise style overdress bodice, with 3/4 length sleeves, a fitted waist, mother of pearl buttons, hook closures down the back and is sheer, completely unlined. The overdress measures 42 inches long, with a 22 inch waist, 34 inch bust and 13 inch back. There is a matching fabric petticoat skirt with a layered ruffled trim bottom and measures 33 inches long, with a 22 inch waist. It is in good condition. This is truly a wonderful piece of antique textile lace art which could be worn as a wedding gown!
