It is made of a colorful heavy silk silver, gold lamé brocade fabric, with a floral medallion, rainbow, clouds, ocean waves of water woven damask design pattern and is created from Japanese obi fabric.

This vintage Japanese gold silk lamé ocean waves obi fabric sleeveless vest jacket from the Showa Period in the 1960s. It is made of a colorful heavy silk silver, gold lamé brocade fabric, with a floral medallion, rainbow, clouds, ocean waves of water woven damask design pattern and is created from Japanese obi fabric. This elegant evening vest sleeveless jacket is a long floor length, with a loose fitting style, side skirt slits for easy movement, an open front with no closure and is fully lined in a reddish orange silk fabric inside. The coat measures 44 inches long, with 44 inch hips, a 44 inch waist and 44 inch bust. It is in excellent condition. This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable Japanese textile art!
