This vintage child's mariachi charro costume suit soutache black and white wool jacket and pants date from the 1950s. It is made of a black wool fabric, with white soutache embroidery work trim creating decorative spiral scrolling interlocking designs. This magnificent Mexican mariachi child's charro costume includes a bolero cropped jacket, with a rounded fold over collar, long full sleeves, two front pockets, white button toggle loop closures and is fully lined. The jacket measures 15 inches long, with a 26 inch waist, 28 inch chest, 11 inch back shoulder and 17 inch long sleeves. There is a matching sleeveless vest, with two front pockets, white button toggle loop closures and is fully lined. The vest measures 14 inches long, with a 28 inch waist and 30 inch chest. There is a pair of trouser pants, with matching white soutache embroidery work down the legs and hook, button fly front closure. The pants measure 31 inches long, with a 23 inch inseam, 27 inch hips and a 24 inch waist. It is in excellent condition. This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable Mexicana textile art! $150 |
